America Ferrera born April 18, 1984 is an American actress best known for her portrayal of Betty Suarez as the lead role in Ugly Betty. Her portrayal of Betty has earned her a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award and an Emmy Award. Ferrera's other acting roles also include films such as Real Women Have Curves, The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants (and its sequel) and The Dry Land. She also voiced a part in animated picture How To Train Your Dragon. Ferrera married her long-term partner Ryan Piers Williams in June 2011.
