Andie MacDowell is a celebrity actress who began her career as a model. She had a discouraging start to her film career in 1984 when her voice was overdubbed by Glenn Close in “Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes” because of her southern accent. Instead of giving up, like many other would have, she worked hard and eventually forged a successful career in Hollywood. She has been nominated for 3 golden globes.
